Legal basis: § 25 TDDDG

§ 25 of the German TDDDG (renamed from the TTDSG in 2024) requires prior opt-in consent before a service stores or reads information on your device. The exception is storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you requested. Everything this site stores falls under that exception.

What is stored

Two entries, both set by this website:

aqs-theme (local storage)

Remembers whether you chose the light or the dark colour scheme, so your next visit does not flash the wrong one. It holds nothing else.

aqs_ff (cookie)

Remembers display settings set with the ?ff= URL parameter. It stays in your browser.

Why there is no consent banner

Before any analytics storage is switched on, we will add a consent choice in which refusing is as easy as accepting.

Deleting stored entries

You can delete both entries at any time in your browser settings. The site then falls back to your system's colour-scheme preference.
